Sunny GCSE results day for Slough students

Councillor Puja Bedi, lead member for children & lifelong learning said: “Following on from this year’s excellent A-level results, I am so pleased to hear the fantastic results of our students in their GSCEs. 

“These results show the effort you have put in, the determination you have had to succeed and your resilience. Whatever path you take, whether it is going on to university, starting an apprenticeship or joining the workforce, please be proud of the work you have done. We wish everyone the best for the future.

“We are extremely lucky as a borough to have such dedicated teachers and school staff, who go above and beyond to help our students achieve their potential. Your hard work, and unwavering support for your students never goes unnoticed. 

“We are really pleased that this year the percentage of students achieving a grade 4 or above in English and Maths has increased from 68.2 in 2025 to 72.7 in 2026, and the percentage achieving a grade 5 or above in English and Maths has increased from 53.3 in 2025 to 57.0 in 2026.”
